The Legacy of Handcrafting
Every stroke, every pigment, and every canvas tells a unique story that mass production can never replicate. Handcrafting is the purest expression of the human soul.
About me
My journey began in fashion, studying design at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, where I first discovered the power of color, texture, and creativity to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. But somewhere between the sketches and the fabric swatches, I realized that what I truly wanted was not just to design what people wear. I wanted to create what people feel.
So I followed that feeling.
I completed my advanced painting certification from Chitra Kala Parishath, one of India's most prestigious art institutions, and never looked back. Over the next 2 years I immersed myself completely in the world of mixed media art, exploring texture art, resin creations, devotional paintings, wall murals, fabric art, custom portraits, landscapes, and handcrafted décor.
What I discovered along the way changed everything.
That art is not decoration. Art is memory. Art is identity. Art is the thing you hang on your wall and look at every morning, and feel something real.
Today, through Handcrafted by Kajal, my Bangalore-based mixed media art studio, I create original hand-painted artworks for homes, offices, wardrobes, and walls across the globe. I have exhibited at some of the most prestigious art spaces in the country, including Venkatappa Art Gallery, Chitrakala Parishath, India Art Festival, Chitra Santhe, and the Indian Institute of World Culture. These experiences helped me connect with fellow artists, art lovers, and art connoisseurs who appreciate meaningful and expressive creations.
This is not just my profession. This is my purpose. And it shows in every single stroke.
Welcome to Handcrafted by Kajal. I am so glad you are here🪄
